I started a thread a few weeks ago to inquire about the KKOA @ Solvang. Lots of good reports. Everybody's saying how good it is/was and that this guy's going, and that guy's going, etc. Hell, there's more (and better) cars parked on my block right now than at the event. So, what happened? Sure was a long drive (150 miles each way) for less than 50 cars. Maybe only 1/2 a dozen cool ones. We were parked next to a 75 Chevy van with chrome IROC wheels.
Yes, I saw that. But, that was yesterday(KKOA was Sat). And yesterday i was at a good show in Burbank that the Throttlers put on. They draw some great traditional stuff to their event.
Sounds like rewatching that episode of Rob and Big would be better then Solvang. Sorry to hear that Groucho.
Driving to a car park is usually better than the end result. There is a reason people don't participate in the "show". Enjoy the drive!
Solvang, is for the birds, they all speak Danish, seriously. Besides, not even the Solvang local, 5wbomber, showed up for the show. Groucho, you need to stick with the Socal shows. Big Bobs, on a monday nights is better than, that gathering.
Damn I didn't see the Van!!.....hahaha......you shoulda went to the tasting rooms and tried to score free wine Groucho! There is about 20 Hot Rods and Kustoms in the Valley....none of them were in the show. My car is imaginary....but I dunno why no one else showed up .....Maybe they Shoulda had a psychobilly band and some tattoo contests......hahaha. I checked the show for a half hour then split to a memorial service at the Mendenhall's racing museum. Then I boned out to Sb to drink some booze...I p***ed you and your buddy on the 101....Green and white dodge right?
Hey Jordan did you make those black marks in front of Subway or was it the skid I did on my lowrider tenspeed mountain bike chingadera?
Well, I guess 50 cars is better than showing up on the wrong day (I hate to admit I did that once...) Seriously, I am not familiar with that show. I went to a KKOA event in Holland Michigan several years ago, and though there were probably only several hundred cars, they were mostly quality and mostly kustoms. Hope you enjoyed the drive at least.
I feel your pain Groucho. Me and my buddy both were there. Did have some damn good pancakes at some breakfast house though. Oh well, live and learn. We wont be back.
Also, it was a $35 HUMP on top of it all. They got a lotta balls charging that much. Hey, i don't mind supporting something. But use some of the ****ing money from prior years to promote the SOB! Well, at least Barris brought his new Jaguar with a picture of a Hyena on it
I'm joking, in other words, there are more cool cars at Big Bobs, at any giving night, than Solvang will ever see.
Ha we'll probably actually be able to find parking if we did that!! fridays are a hit & miss at Bob's, either tons of cool stuff or tons ****-o-la
EVER SEE??????? dunno, got a really cool "secret" car in the works right now, damn you just kinda offended me........................*******!
HAHA..........I had no idea Conan The Barbarian drove one of those, I wonder what he has airbrushed on the back?
