I am in the market for a decent 32 grille insert. Are there good and bad brands? What is your experience? I would like a raw style so I can paint it but it seems stainless is cheaper?????

This is definately one of those instances were you get what you pay for. I got the non USA made one on accident... what a piece of ****!.. and I paid $225! Then I purchased the one USA made one for $400 it's perfect. Your better off paying more the first time. If you dont care I'll sell you the cheap one I still have for $150.

I doubt they're the same quality. As with any other situation, you get what you pay for. I trust Eric (VAPHEAD). I haven't met him in person yet, but I've bought parts from him and he treats you great, and he is actually a good bargain on what he sells. I don't trust autoaccesories4u4less. My suggestion is join the alliance and buy from riley. On that insert, you'll save almost your alliance membership. Good luck.

FYI, the Brookville's from 2001 were [not sure if still] made by Dale's. Fit is right on.

I have the Vintiqe fully polished Stainless ones for $285- or can order the Dale's for $395- (can probably work on the shipping for you if you ask). Thanks Jim

Dales did not fit in a brookville shell perfect either. I was told they were the best also. I got the cheaper ebay one for 200 prior to getting the Dales one and it also did not fit period. I give up on guessing, Now I know why a original is worth so much

I also have one from Dales. It fit a brookville shell with no problem, looks good fits right, I also had one of the cheaper ones they dont fit right without some major work. Spend the extra money and get a good one the first time. You get what you pay for.

Also have a 2001 "Brookville". It does fit the Brookville grille shell, but not perfectly. The center peak is off by 3/8" or so compared to the shell.
Now I noticed the grill bars are staring to develop some rust - always thought those were supposed to be stainless. The surround seems to be stainless as it is still ok.

  16. Who sells just the teeth? I have the surround.
