$4,500 huh, I can't think of better way to blow your Meguiars sign on bonus! Congratulations and good luck with the project. I also thought and planned a whole lot for my sedan project before I actually found a body in good shape. -Jeff

awesome... looks like you got your self a clean start on a nice hotrod build... keep us posted! what you have planned sounds nice for this ride:)
cool your were able to find such a nice body for a decent price around here. You don't come across clean bodies like that very often with all the necessities. Got a paint scheme yet or keepin her in primer? gas tank staying in front?

    stay blessed!

Great start and congrats on the new gig as well. This picture reminds of something you'd see on the cover of HR in the 70's. [IMG]
Keep us posted on the build.

Cl***ic Street Rod Mfg. in Ontario, CA built the frame for me. They did an amazing job. It was done two days after I ordered it and they are VERY resonably priced. Come to find out, they build all of So Cal Speed Shops frames! So Cal charges you all that money for a frame and they dont even build it. I recommend them to anyone.

Dang, I'm impressed, the CAB himself. I remember hanginf posters of you on my wall out of Thrasher mag when I was younger.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm thinking I'm gonna run it bare metal for a while. Eventually its gonna be either a light blue or a dark, dark green single stage, I havent decioded if I will throw some flattener in there or not. I have a while before I need to worry about that.

Gas tank will be from tanks inc and will be in the trunk.

  13. I'd channel it, no chop.

That was my plan for a long time, I'm still going back and forth. My only worry is that the car is not going to be all that low. With no chop, I'm worried about how it will look. The chop wont come till later so we will se how it looks once it is channeled and on the frame. Thanks for the idea.

Nice body! I'm going to college too and I just picked up a '29 coupe and basically have the same plans- 3-4" chop, 3" channel, pie cut frontend and z'd in the back 5". Keep it up! I

Believe me when I say that your car has been a major inspiration for mine. I hope my coupe turns out half as nice as yours. Got to be one of my favorite coupes ever.

Man, You don't know how proud I am to know that my car was inspiration on a another car. I would prob channel and chop it just a little. Either way it is going to be a killer...

I think so too. The plan for now is a 4 inch chop and a 4 inch channel. We will just have to see....

Looks like a killer start, and game plan! I think you should go with the 4" chop.

Alright, this is almost getting scary. First, Kennedy gives me his approval, a Coupe that is definitely inspiring my build. Then you! Check this out, I scoured every inch of your car earlier this year at the BIG 3 in San Diego and spoke to you for a bit. THen again at PASO and took about a million pictures. I was actually looking at a picture of your car on my computer the other night at how your rear is hung. I'm also mounting the spring on top of the axle like you did, weird. Well, love your car, we will have to meet up in San Diego sometime when I finish my build. Where you at in SD?
