For those of you that don't know... I'm a complete idiot when it comes to hot rods- ch***is' especially! It's not from lack of trying... I've just never done a ground up build before. Anyway, I ordered a Pete & Jake's ladder bar kit. The kit comes with a straight cross member, and because of the kick up on my model 'aaayyy' (fonzi) frame, I need a 'dropped 'cross member. I spoke with 'Kurt' at Pete & Jake's, and not only is he sending me the part my dumb *** should have ordered correctly in the first place, he's also sending a call tag so I can send back the straight cross member- NO CHARGE to me... To me that's outstanding customer service, and I wanted to tell everyone that they're TOPS in my book. -Jake Ps I attached a picture of what has been burning me, cutting me, and smashing my fingers and s****ing my knuckles these past few weeks. I love hot rods.
Haha... I have seen this first hand. I'm impressed everytime I stop by to see the progress and I'm looking forward to help out. Its gonna rule, Jake...even though you are an idiot.
a 1929 model 'aaaaayyy' (god bless arthur fonzarelli) roadster and I've been working on a pretty sweet mustache, it's been coming in all thick and hairy and stuff... -Jake
Jake we are all idiots, some are just better at fooling others into thinking that we are not. Ha Ha Ha
Why Z the frame that high and then mount the spring crossmember under the frame tubes????....just curious......
honestly because I didn't know any better... the frame isn't really z'd much (4") I might change it to go underneath, and I might shave off this *****in' mustache
I ordered a pete and jake ladder bar crossmember (crossmemebr only, no ladder bars) from So Cal speed shop, and the crossmemebr requires speicial bushings and bolts. I called Pete and Jakes, and they mailed me the required hardware at NO CHARGE! They will get my return service!
Pete&jake's great people to deal with. They follow through with what they tell you they are going to do, with out the second phone call.
