Chevy Engine Orange.......Paint Code??

<font color="purple"> Hey there. So this may be an odd question, but a customer of mine came into my work here, and he is looking for the paint code for Chevy Orange. Yup, a little weird, I know, but it's what he wants! I have phoned PPG and they don't have a # for it. Any help would be much appreciated! </font>

 

I was reading somewhere here on the net that Chevy has changed the color three? times and then there's the rattle cans with whatever shade of Orange they want. I just did an engine with VHT Chevy engine Orange and it was redder than the original on the '70 block but yellower than the Orange on the '69 Camaro intake I used.
So, maybe you should just go thru some sample chips and pick one that matches an original unrepainted block and give it to him...

I had a 70 Chevelle I painted "Chevy Engine Orange" cant remember the paint code, but try looking for "Hugger Orange"
