Was thinking of driving up there tomarrow, wanted to know if this swap meet/car show is worth the 7 hour drive. Also what hotel would you recomend in the area? Thanks in advance Dave L.
ive never been to this one, but im going, just cause im local. The annual one in april is the biggest in the west, and its held in the same place. Im just not sure if this one will compair just cause this is the first year i heard of one in oct. Any hotel in the area is good, theres inexpensive motels all over cause its really close to the portland airport. Anything on airport way would work. If you were already considering it, go for it! its the last one i know of in these parts till next year. good luck!
The Portland Fall Expo Center Swap Meet , (In my honest opinion) is definately worth going to. It is put on by The NorthWest Car Collecetors Clubs, and is the bigggest swap meet in the area, this time of year. While it doesn't take up the Front Parking Lot of the Expo Center, It takes up the Back Lot, and I believe ALL The Buildings. (4 or 5) In addition, this year in Hall A they are going to kick off having a Motorcycle Show/Swap Meet. There is a Hotel 6 close by, (within about 1/2 mile) Just go to Hotel6.com and you should find more info. Plenty of Food Places + Fuel between it & the Expo Center. Everything is just off I5. In early November is the Bremerton Swap Meet, Bremerton Washington,, and about 2 weeks later is the Albany Swap Meet Albany Oregon.. (I really like the Albany Swap Meet.) On our website you can click on Swap Meets We Will Be At for an extensive list of Swap Meets in Oregon & Washington, From January to November. (There may even be 1 or 2 that you may not have known existed.) Enjoy! WWW.STUMPTOWNSTREETRODS.COM Hope to see you there. Ken
