ok well its not as old as many of you would like but....here it is. my best friend put me to work after his girlfriend wrecked his clean '65 caddy, the task, find him a Lincoln Continental. Well i came through and it was quite the find. The car pretty much fell into my lap after a friend of a friend decided he could not keep the car any longer. well he had been trying to get rid of the car for quite some time but no one would bite. well my buddy and i finally got down to Hollywood to look at the car. well we get their and WOW!! car was SOLID! covered in a thick layer of dust and exposed to the elements for the past few years but a nice car none the less. well after a quick negotiation the car was my friends! total price... $1,700 bucks! all it needed was a ****** rebuild and now the cars drives NICE!! only drawback, the tow hitch is WELDED FULLY to the rear of the uni-body, so in the weeks to come were grinding it off and then its getting bagged. my buddy already redid all and i mean ALL (THEIR IS ALOT!) of va*** lines for the windows, and a/c etc. and a quick color sanding on the body to knock off all of the orange peel from the previous paint job and now its ***s! enjoy boys and don't be discouraged about not being able to find a good deal!

I'd agree. They're still out there. One just has to look a little harder.

oh yeah, i forgot to mention. one condition of the sellers was....I want to sell this car to some one who will drive the $HIT out of it. i pointed to my ranchero and told him it was my daily, and my previous was my '55 chevy, and before that my '63 futura. my best friend tells him, about his daily '67 camaro with a KNARLEY stroked small block with a t-5 trans. total gas guzzler and also told him about his '65 caddy and how those were his only cars and drove the snot out of them. next day my buddy left a deposit and the seller saw the Camaro and was like YOU DRIVE THAT DAILY!?:D stock bodied camaro but has a bad *** little small block in it. guy seemed happy the car was in good hands!! my buddy just got the car out of the shop after tying up a few loose ends on it and has already began pilling up the miles!
