I need some info from our friends 'down under'. Does anyone use a shipping company to ship items via container from the US to Australia? I'm talking about large items that would cost too much to use postal, fedex, or ups but not near enough to fill up a container. We have been getting more and more requests for our insulation in Australia and have been using the postal service to ship one roll at a time and are considering looking for someone down there to be a distributor. If anyone has some usefull shipping info we would appreciate it. Mike

  2. You might want to try this site, http://www.minimania.com/msgthreads.cfm Lots of stuff getting moved around from one country to the other. Worth a look. One guy you might check out on that site is pmustang, he seems to ship a lot of cars to the USA, he might be able to help with the other direction.

Junkyard Cl***ics ship out of Long Beach to Sydney almost weekly. They do whole cars down to small parts. If I want stuff, not in a hurry and it's too bulky (or heavy) for the mail I get it sent to them. They charge a consolidated freight rate. Also have a retail outlet in Sydney. The LB # is 562 436 7100

  6. Give Ray a call at Junkyard Cl***ics, hes into the trad car scene more than most shops over here. The shop would be an ideal distributor for the insulation,
    Doc.

hi lowbucrod the two chaps that come to mind are ron wicks and grahame webb both these guys ship out of LA

they are aussies that live here and work there
buying car stuff and bringing it over they are going to be busy as our dollar rises against yours so more aussies will be buying up

this will mean they have more boxes on boats if you can do a deal with them you can buy the spare space around the cars

I will sort out there local numbers you will need the international prefixes
