I spent 3 days at Santa Cruz with the wife and some friends. We needed a break in the action and this seems to have done the trick.

went to a spur of thhe moment car show with a friend of mine....figured I would give the wifie a day off and woke the boy up (2y/o) to go for a ride in the "ruck" (least he doesnt attach an F in place of the R) It was a family friendly car show, bouncy deals and games for the kids...we hadda ball (I tired the little shit out....score one for dad) Ate greasy ass food and finally took the son around to look at the cars (though all of them are "rucks" to him right now)

Surprise of all surprises....my 49 won best "hot rod" eh I aint ever won anything before so we'll let em screw up the class of the vehicle :)

Bottom line....me and the boy hadda friggen blast

Oh...damn shame I'm not single...I got two phone #'s outta the deal hauling the cute kid around too....blast it I already threw em in the trash (the phone #'s that is) Oh well

I finally got my wifes suburban to pass state emissions test Saturday on the 6th try, spent the rest of Saturday and Sunday getting the roadster ready for the day of the drags. Took the mufflers off and gave it a good once over then put the body back on. Then I remembered this little gem in one of my storage bins, so I drug it out and got it running. Now I have 2 race vehicles for this weekend. Now for the $64,000 question, who is brave enough to line up against this?

All I did was kiss 56 girls - seriously.

Here's s couple of pics from a fantastic day on Saturday which was an event in the vineyard area. Was bet by a mate that I couldnt kiss 50 girls the night before so decided to make some money for telethon (Kids charity event held over 24hrs on TV) and charged the kiss $2 a kiss. Am matching the money $ for $. After counting the cash I collected $135 so $270 for telethon. :)
Even met a Telethon kid and the sister of one. Really rewarding process.

I went to Hershey and scored a real nice hood I'll be chopping up to use on my '37 Chevy taildragger.
It's starting to cool down fast around here, so I took the opportunity on Sunday to take a blast in my boat. I've finally got it running real good.:D

Thanks, I bought (stole) it last year for the engine and the '55 Eldorado wheels that are on the trailer. I was going to junk the boat and trailer, but once I got it home decided it was too nice, so I'm slowly bringing it back to life.
It's a '65 17' Stevens V-drive drag/ski boat that originally was built and spent most of it's life in Long Beach. The engine is a '56 354 that was built and tricked out by none other than Joe Reath of Dunn& Reath fame, personally for the guy who built the boat back in the day.
It runs and sounds frikin awesome!:D

My friends wife did that a few months ago. Since she went to basic the had shin splints, pneumonia, a burst ear drum and she broke her nose. Needless to say she wants out.

I put the front brakes and steering back on my 41 Chev flatbed on Saturday, then Sunday I bent up new brake lines for it and cleaned the remnants of being dormant for 53 years in Klamath Falls potato barn out of the inside. I really like working on old vehicles that are in good shape-the gas tank, floor, and firewall still have all the original paint!
