by far one of my favorite bodies... but damned hard to get ahold of. Does anyone make reman steel bodies? are there any reman T bodies out there besides 'gl*** buckets?
I asked a very similar question yesterday...... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215867 The short answer is..... no. Not an inexpensive one anyway. Ford did make like 10,000,000 model T's though. And quite a few survived.
There is a steel 26 27 roadster body that is bigger built for a deuce frame........................................$10.000
never!!!! ok... maybe some day... but only if I cant find any decent tin before my roadster cravings get out of control!
So who would that be? I'm building an original steel '27, and would definately be interested in some steel repop stuff.
Try Shadowrods. www.shadowrods.com. Over $10k for the body, $9,600 for the modified style. But I have sat in one, and they are roomy, for a T of course, and very nicely finished. Just my two cents...
HA HA.... you lose i win! just kidding, i may have a lead on one near me, if it pans out i'll send you a pm
could i ask probably a dumb question? why would you care if it is gl*** or steel if you build it so low you can walk right over the door anyway? ***uming that is the style you would build.
There is a company that makes a 'gl*** T that is 6" longer and 3" wider. Doesn't sound like much but it is quite a bit bigger.
macsautoparts.com has a lot of patch panels and steel panels for 26-27s roadsters... fair money wise, i have to get cowl patches and rear quarter pathces for mine
10 large for a bare T body ????? I guess their right, there must be one born every min. Check the 2nd post in the cars for sale section!
i think its just an illusion, i think the rear was just on the wood seperating the driveway and yard. they are firestone 4.40/4.50 x21 all the way around.
