Hi All, I joined and have read post for a while and finally decided it was time to get busy and post. It seems like I have alway wanted to be around cars, motorcycles and hot rods. My dad was a hot rodder and drag racer and I grew up around it. I still have a trophy he won at Green Valley (a local drag strip long closed down) and a 1927 T-bucket he build in the early 70's. Somehow I managed to keep the car all together and original other than the motor which we upgraded to a blown 350 during the 80's. This now somehow seems a miracle as I have never left anything alone. It is the car on my profile page. I love drag racing and for the past two years with several friends have been building a true nitro burning hemi powered altered. We will run with the Outlaw Fuel Altered group locally and plan on making bigger races like Bakersfield. I also have a 49 Anglia which was gasser during the 60's I plan on running. I try to do everything myself and to that end, have taking machinist and paint classes. I also have a good friend who has been very patience in teaching me to TIG weld. Well that is probably more than anyone wanted to know, but it's just a little about me. Thanks for the great board and letting me be part of it, Vernon Phillips
