Very nice, Kiwi, thanks for doing this. I have always liked the scoop on the Greer-Black-Prudhomme car, similar to the one in your pictures #8 & 9. Less Industrial/more Design than many others, and painted body color it somehow connects the engine with the body visually.

I remember an artsy photo from long ago, looking up at the GBP scoop against the sky. Dunno where.

I wish everyone asked questions like this... instead of the usual ,hey, how do you get your jean cuffs so straight.... type of question... It seems to me that most people are after the look rather then the form..

Anyone know where to get one like this:

I've looked for a scoop like this for a long time but I don't know who made them. It looks like "Scott Inc" is cast into the scoop but I can't be sure.

  8. Hey Shawn, I seen that guy that has all the old intakes that hits the big rod runs had one like it, or it was made out of aluminum to resemble it. It looked like it was about 3/16's thick material.

  12. I think the Hilborn 4 port with a Hilborn scoop has to be my alltime favorite... followed up by a Enderle with the three butterflys...

    Thanks for sharing!

    Got any Stack Injection pics?

    Sam.

    Great thread Kev. Thanks,
I always enjoy your stuff. I remember awhile back someone wanted to see skinny front wheels and you stepped up.
Here is a list of more stuff you can do: gauge panels, steering wheels, headers and that ass behind the Scott scoop pic is OK too....
    Have fun,Smokey

  18. Nice Post - loved all the different injectors.

I didn't even know that Donovan made a 4-port injector. I recently picked up a mint tall 4-port Hilborn . . . but hell, they still make those new. I'd give anything to find a Donovan injector and convert it to EFI to run on my early Hemi.

Does anybody happen to know of somebody with a Donovan 4-port squirreled away someplace? :D

I happened to place my Scott Super Slot on E-bay last week if somebody's looking for one. It's rare and its' real. I hate to give it up, but there's more important things I currently need for my Chevelle. Auction ends tonight (sunday).

I too have always loved the scoop on the Greer Black Prudhomme car. Hanna's is sweet, as well as that Scott.

    Borrowed from DRO...

There's something about that Crower that I love too. Although that new "Hemi" smells a little fishy sitting on those old rails.

    Kev,

2 words....Freekin Awesome! I anything old/vintage, especially the drgsters. I can see some sort of coffee table (or in our case, empty case of oil turned upside down) book on this subject. Or even take it one step further and make it an exhibit at a motorsport museum!

    Great Job! Keep Em Coming!

That crower injection may be the only vintage part on the whole car, being its a new car. Ive seen mock-up pictures and have pictures of the car being tuned at the museum of drag racing. I was wondering what tthe final product looked like. Thanks for posting the pics.

It is a 4 holer with high and low injectors. Cool as hell the pump runs off the back plate of the blower. Really need to do somethin with it.

Small 8 port Crower. A favorite of Big Daddy Don Garlitz.

Nothing better than an 8-71 Hilborn 4 port injector with that classic scoop!!
A close second is the Enderal injectors Tony Nancy ran on the 22jr T.
