I know this might seem like a stupid question, but do you know if someone around 6'1 and 245-ish lbs could fit comfortably in a Model A roadster/coupe? The reason I ask is because I was thinking of building one, but if I'm not even going to fit in the thing, there's really no point. Haha! Also, does anyone know how much more interior space a coupe has as opposed to a roadster? I might want to consider hacking the roof off of a coupe if it'll give me any extra room. Thanks!
I've got a 29 coupe w a stock firewall, and it has 45" from firewall to parcel shelf. BTW its the same length inside as a 32 roadster
Coupe is bigger. Distance from top of decklid on a roadster to the seat is farther, therefore pushing the seat forward. Roadster doors are much much smaller than a coupe. The leg room in a roadster is less than in a coupe. A cabriolet is a convertible that has the legroom of a coupe. They are rare though. How about getting a sport coupe, making a top that folds down and you have a coupe with no roof, without cutting the roof off another nice coupe. If you are going to cut the roof on a coupe, just chop it and put the roof back on lower. To many ******* coupes that just look wrong.
I actually have a line on a cabriolet. It's a little more than I want to spend, but if I can fit into it, that's alright.
I'm a big guy, 6'1", 290#. The only trouble I have with my roadster is the doors are so short, I have to kind of step up into it and sit down. My buddys souple seems easier for me to get into, but then there's nothing like a roadster.
I have the back section of a 28/ 29 cabriolet. What doors and cowl do I need, or will any of them work?
I'm 6'0 and fit in my roadster just fine but the seat is pushed back far as I could. Lance from lance hot rod shop he is at least 6'2 and had that heavy chopped coupe
