Does anyone have pictures of '60s dashboards installed in '33/34 Ford Coupes? I saw this setup on a black coupe in a rod mag (I can't remember which one) in the late '80s/early '90s. Unfortunately this particular magazine was a**** the ones I had in storage that was destroyed by termites. I don't remember the make (toss up between Ford or GM) or the exact year of the dash, but I recall the article metioned early '60s dash. I want put that same dash in my '49 Hudson and I've been looking at dashboards on the internet but have yet to come across that dash. Any pictures of the setup would be greatly appreciated.
Here's one we have over here in the UK, not sure what the dash is from but the 34 has a Hemi so could be that the dash is a Chrysler from the donor car. The console low down in the centre is the push ****on selectors for the transmission. It was built a few years ago by Johnny Best. By the way, thats not the same car in the cartoon pic, that ones mine! L.P.
Tut tut L.P. and you a tech editor too,the push ****on shifter is from a Chrysler but not the dash. The s**** people know from whence it came...
That's the setup I'm looking for! '60s Ford??? That type dash has that "mechanical-look" and chrome gadgets to compliment the black interior that's going in my '49 Hudson and '25 Dodge. Thanks LP!
No problem Kreepea, I knew the push ****on was Mopar, and I've just realised what Junkyard is on about, that same dash is in a '60 Galaxie wagon featured in 'Custom Car' magazine over here this month. Seeing as I contribute to the mag, he's ***uming that I read it too! L.P.
