  1. Just wondering if you have ever used the form at the DMV to get infor regarding the last registered owner of a car.

    What were your experiences?
Did you get any info back?

The highway patrol is not supposed to give out that info. And the Dmv contacts the registered owner to see if it is ok to release that info after yu fill out the form

Dont know if that was the form #but i did fill out a form which got me 3 years of ownership/registration.Took about 6 weeks for the cal dmv to send the form back to me cause i missed a line in form.So i filled the line in sent it back.Another 6 weeks and i recived registrations from the last two owners and the vehicle transfer form from the last time the car changed hands.I paid a little extra so the dmv officer would put a stamp on all the papers so they are certifed do***ents. That just gives the papers some weight when useing them in another state.hope this helped

  6. Well Im trying to track two cars down that went missing after they were sold in the 1960s. Im in contact with the original owner of one car and the sisters of the guy who built the other car(original owner died 2 years ago). All of us are curious of their where abouts.

I think all you need is the vin numbers. As long as its been registerd in the last 3 years the dmv can give you that 3 years of registration so that will at least give you a namefrom their your on your own.

  8. All I have is the license plate numbers.
