What the Heck is this Tool For?

    A friend gave me a bunch of his old tools a few years ago,and he gave me this also,but wouldn`t tell me what it was for.....all he said is that I will figure it out some day....well i`m tired of waiting....what the hell is it????

    Yep, "Deluxe" model.........the gold handle gives it away.

    prop it on your shoulder and lean on a panel to tig weld it ..or you can lifters with it .

    my nipples don't twist .

    It'll work on the lifters,as there is a little edge on them at the top. but I think technically, it's a blind bearing puller. When a bearing, mostly needle bearings are pressed into a hole there is no way to tap or press them out from the other side. You insert that end, tighten up on te nuts and that little flared end will expand a bit. Warm up the surrounding area a little and use the weight to hammer up on the tool to pull the bearing out. They usually come with a couple of different sizes. But you can only get them in one size for a one job deal.

  13. The lifter puller I bought new over 30 years ago had two jaws on it that spread out into the snap ring groove when you twisted the handle. I don't see the two jaws on this tool but the rest of it looks identical to my lifter puller. Perhaps someone's modfied it.
