Most "real deal" hotrods are plastic.....with a steel liner.

Well, they are both gl***. Both have straight front axels and yes both need better wheels and I'm going to do my best to de-Boyd the roadster.
The roadster comes with an original hood and sides and a front bumper and brackets.
If I can make it look like that maroon '33 then I'll be happy. That car is sweeeet !!!

I've had lots of fun with the coupe and the orignal builder wants it back very badly, so it's a'goin. Besides, I can go take it for a ride anytime I want to.( If I can wrestle the keys away from him.

    Glenn.

    Hey Glenn,
Do what's right for you and **** the rest of the comments. If you pick it up I'm sure you'll make it your own ride and drive the **** out of it like you have the coupe, plastic...blah, blah, blah, at least you drive your car! :D
    Good luck either way, Keith

both are nice cars, but I always go for the coupe! Besides, what would you rather get rained on - you, or the wheels?

seems like a fair deal to me. Just sell the $50 wheels and put some steelies on it.. cover the running boards with rubber and remove the billet from the interior (you know it has to have some)...

    Plastic is Fantastic!

I like steel. Just not on bodies...

Roadsters let your wife get her legs into the air...

The roadster is nice BUT, you'll be back when you realise that you have nothing in common with those around you...

I'm sure you put a lot of thought into this trade.
    1. Take a couple of photos of it when you get it home.
    2. make your changes (wheels/tires, etc.)
    3. photograph it again from exactly same angles, same location with the same camera .
    4. Post the photos again side by side for all of us to see.

I'll think that you'll be happy with the results and so will a lot of HAMBers.
Life is short. You don't need approval from strangers.

  15. So Glenn, was that you or the new (old?) owner I saw pul out of Borgeson's yesterday?

Dennis, I didn't see you there !!! I wish I had, darn it. That was the old (new)owner.I was driving my coupe and didn't have a clue that he wanted to trade until yesterday. Sorry I missed you.

Keith, thanks for the kind words. I'll do my best to get the roadster more traditional. This is my first Billet Bomb, but it's been done for awile and is more traditional underneath,so it's a matter of cosmetics. AND I am going to drive the **** out of it!!!!!!

    Great thought.

I've always said, "The only person you spend your entire life with is yourself, not your parents, girls, wives, kids, etc....so don't worry about what anyone else thinks."
