Aluminum Center Section

    Does anyone know if any cars came stock with an aluminum center section in the rear ? I don't mean quick change ,,just an aluminum carrier.

    Pontiac Super Duty 61-63? Full size cars w/9.3" rear end.

    There were some Dana 44s in later Jeeps.
    Viper Dana 44.
    And I've seen a Dana 60 aluminum center.

    90s Jeep Grand Cherokees came with aluminum center section Dana 44s in the Limiteds. Up to 98. That's the only one i know of off the top of my head.

    my ez-go golf cart has got an aluminum center section.

    OT, but early 4x4 rangers used an aluminum dana 28 or 30 (? it's been a few years) up front.

    also made in magnesium.....hadn't seen a aluminum version.... brandon:D

    FWIW I just took a '01 ch***is (Ranger) that had the front diff that is Aluminum. I didn't keep it as everybody I talked to about using it for a rear diff said it has oiling problems when you try that, wouldn't elaborate, just said they wouldn't oil right when they have been tried.
