just a short 28 day workup det. this will be my first time back on the Lincoln in 6 years! my wife pulled two cruises on that pig, and now it's my turn. ramping up for the big cruise in the summer, were going to be pulling figure eights off the coast of california to get pilots qual'ed.

i got my HAMB decals in the mail just in time, i'm charging myself with "spreading the gospel" i'll zap a few around the ship and snap a few pics;) . so i guess this is a farewell of sorts, 'till next month my garage will sit idle, and my cars will gather dust. take care HAMB buddies, i havent even gone yet and i already want to come back!!!! -Josh

I feel ya buddy, just got out of the Navy after doing 4 years in Little Creek, Va onboard the USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) Did 6 months in the gulf and tons of other cruises, seen some great places and some real holes. I would be on deployment in the gulf right now if I didnt get out when I did. Good luck and be safe. Let me know if you need anything!

Stay safe and have fun with all the work-ups. I am on the down side of a Alaska / North Pacific patrol. 71 days away from homeport so far.

Did 122 days straight between port calls in PI cruising the IO back in the 80s, tons of fun!
I do not envy you at all!
