It's an old Big Four tire machine. The bead breaker and inflator work fine. The tool rotator needs some work. The valve that sends air alternately to the two diaphrams has some issues but I think with a good cleaning and maybe some new o-rings it'll be fine. Got her for $30. This is going to be WAY better than the Harbor Freight setup I've been using.
Yea, tire machines are a nice tool to have around, huh? Someone on Craigslist is selling the exact one I have for $300: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/tls/451970238.html Got mine for free though
Just keep my eyes open. This was in the Wichita International Raceway cl***ifieds. Turned out to be the track managers son. His mom had said it had to go.
You dog . . . I've been looking for a manual one. Especially since the Walmart guy put four gouges into the front, main polished area of a pair of 10" wide mags that I looked for, for five years and have been toting around for another five. Next time, I'll hit a tire shop that specializes in ricer wheels and tires. No kidding, they seem to have a good handle on doing mags and usually have the equipment to do it. Grind and sand, grind and sand. Then polish....
I also found a big four tire machine sold by the Automotive Equipment Corp. The Model number is 90-209, and the serial number is 107560. Do you, or anybody else know where I can use this information to look up whether this just a beadbraker or a tire changing machine as well. Sorry about no picture this time. I'll take one for my next post.
Your first post and you answer a dead four year old thread? The last post before yours was Oct 24 2007. Ryan needs to figure out a way to lock the threads to everyone except the original poster after a certain time period.
but then people wont be able to google their stupid stuff and join too ask stupid questions that we can make fun of
Sheesh, decaf dude, decaf. What are you, the self appointed website cop? I don't think that even ten THOUSAND (wtf?) posts gives you the right. Leave the guy be if you don't have anything positive to add. He's just like a lot of us were- he found the site by searching and asked a question. What's the big deal?
Yeah, I get it but c'mon. Proposing Ryan should lock all old threads because of one guy's simple question?!
