If you haven't seen it yet, go to the Hemming's blog and watch the interview with Bruce Larson at Hershey. He runs the Ivo digger at the end for race car certification. YES, it does run and it's beautiful.

Bruce is hosting the USA-1 dragfest on November 10th at his barn
I assume this car would be there if anyone wants to see it
(dont quote me on that though)

The car was here in Columbus for the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion, Tommy had three of his dragsters here, great guy to sit down and talk with, had time to meet and greet everyone. During the Cackel Fest, while push starting the car coming down the track toward the starting line, the car lit and lurched forward under the Garlits tow vehicle, it totalled the wheel covers and bent all of the steering rods, radius rods, etc. It was pretty ugly, I saw it when they were loading it Sunday morning, just prior to leaving the grounds.

Correction on your info John .... The car that was involved was TV IVO T/F car restored by Guy Bouchard and it did not have Wheel Covers .. The car with the wheel cover is the Bruce Larson restored one ...

I guess I just assumed it was the car with the sponsons over the front wheels. The truck with the plexi glass sides hauled it off and it was the truck the brought the other car in, my mistake. I can remember the Jade Gernade when it ran that front wheel configuration. It looked good but I don't think it had any useful purpose other then acting like an aircraft rudder at top speed.

Great restoration, sorry I got there late and didn't get to see and hear it run.
