    Hello,
I've had no response to my inquiries so far and just read a post in the "parts wanted" section that stated...not to expect replies if your BIO was not filled out. My BIO is now filled out, hope this stimulates a little response. Thanks, Greg

Hey, where did you go? This is a great site with some great information. Can't imagine you could get such a bad feeling after 3 posts, and two of your posts are in here saying you get no responses. Well, here is number 8 response to you in this thread, what do you need to know?

    advice from a fellow newbie:

as you can see, you also need to be careful what you ask for and how you ask it, you just might get it for better or worse and usually both.

'nother big hint, don't throw around the words "rat rod" in the wrong way.

also welcome from Maryland. I live in N. Cal. now, but grew up in MD - the less-than-advanced eastern shore part.

hmm, eastern shore, 1 hour east of Balt. and (2) north of Ocean City - that puts you right about at the east side of the Bay Bridge/Kent Island, maybe Rock Hall or Chestertown area. Maryland is a pretty nice state (personal bias of course) and like pretty much everywhere else, could use a few more nice hot rods so hope you get some good help here. I'll try if i can.

You're probably not getting a response on the heads since you're in Maryland and he wanted a local sale so he wouldn't need to ship. Try reading the ads before replying and getting uptight.

    Oh, welcome to the HAMB...

It all starts like this. Thats the way it was in the fifties, cool cats get in free, the squares dont get in. It's a war against the secondary. I for the most part, stay out of this type of conflict, due to the fact that Im cool as the other side of the pillow. I do have friends that are the square type, left over, s****s. I love those guys, my friends. Just think of your delima as an ignorance to the fact that you know something they dont. ****in aint what it used to be. I used to have a 69 chevy truck, I was 20 yrs old before I realized that the bed was for haulin stuff and not for ****in chicks in. Who ever thought you could haul another 1500 lbs of stuff in the back. Not me. As you are the same my friend, you have unknown fact and know the true meaning of life. This place is not for you, as you may know too many secrets of the universe. Get out before you numb yourself with flathead facts and body pannel hammer dumbness. I have totaly lost my mind. Whenever I see your screenname -- "skidmarks" -- I think of dirty underwear. That's kinda gross, too.

    It's all subjective.

Now that you mention it. That's what I think of too.

  29. I guess it's all in the type of chicks you go out with as to how soon you realize 'hey, this thing can haul a lot of weight back here' .... but anyhow.

Yeah, what the other guy said. The dude doesn't want to ship the heads. I can see why, they'd have to go truck freight or Greyhound bus or something and it's a big pain in the ***. So you either need to go to The Day Of The Drags and pick 'em up, or offer him at least $125 to send 'em truck frieght - and do all the legwork to figure out how to pack them, what company to take them, and so on. FedEx has a freight carrier, maybe you could send a prepaid lablel to him.

Oh yeah, why $125? I notice thats what guys want to ship a 4spd toploader trans on eBay. A set of heads must weigh somewhere in the general vincinity, I know I sure don't want to try to lug either one of them around very far without a cart or something.

  30. You have a nerve ripping Mr. Skidmarks down.............
 Not sure I like what you have at the end of your window rite under your name.....Does YOUR Mother know you put that out there for all to see????? That to me is the worst thing a guy could put in writing:mad:
