I picked this up a year ago because the price was pretty good and always wanted a Model A.

As near as I can tell this car is about 99% complete and has sat in a garage since 1952 when the motor seized up.
Do I start chopping, or sell it and get something not so nice to cut up? I really need a winter project.

that would make some nice rod material, it's not like it was a mint car and model A's are not rare by any means so consider yourself lucky that you have some good material to work from and it even came with some bullet headlights.

Bring it to my house, leave it in the driveway. I'll take care of the rest.

That is a cool story! That model A looks like it is really nice shape since it has been sitting for 55 years after running for several years prior! Part of me says...restore and the other says...customize! If you need any Ideas let me know. I can help.

    Thanks,

    -DV

Okay, I am one of those "don't cut up a good car" types, but I am giving you full permission to go to town on that one. It might be complete, but I wouldn't say it's "too nice" to rod. Go for it. Once a car needs redone, it's fair game. Just sell the parts you don't use to restorers.
(And if your conscience still bothers you, sell it to me instead!)

Do a search for "evil sedans" and you'll get a bunch of pics.

Got the motor and ****** placed, along with the suspension hung. Going to run 400sbc with dual carbs, and 700R4 ******. The rearend I picked up is already set up with 4.11 and a locker. I figured the overdrive might be nice.

  28. That looks great. Looking at the frame, I guess you decided to go fenderless, huh? I like full fenders with a nice chop myself but I'm weird. That is one right on chop too, your car is going to look great no matter what you do. Please keep updating, I love to see 'em going together.
