i did about 90% ofthe work building that van . i built subframes for the front and rear . the rear was a 4 link with bags and the front i ordered a wider than normal 5 in drop axle (dont remember the width)and used early ford spindles so that it would be easy to do disk brakes. as for the front bags i kept the leaf springs minus a few leafs with a bag between the spring and sub frame. but if i was going to do it again i would figure out how to use some sort of wishbones or something. it was a ton of work and there might be an easier way but thats how i did it. i got the van going and traded it to edog ,he changed the grill and bumper then painted it and sold it to a guy who sells purses or something

we built another van that wasnt quite as low but was a heck of alot easier on the rear just used a flip kit and the front just lost a few leafs . not as low but just as fun and only took a weekendto do

That is the one car that I have been thinking about most since Paso. I'm glad I'm not alone.

It looks like a Weesner painting come to life. In fact I asked Keith if that van was inspired by one of his paintings but he denied it. It's absolutely the coolest thing to happen in a while.

My hat is off to the builder(s)?.

Agreed. I'm interested in hearing about it. Where are all those 60s Van-o-philes from that other thread we had a while back?

  14. Do you have any links on where to get the flip kit or parts for those? And do you have any pics of that other van?
