Why not? If it's ugly, post or link to a pic that will show him why.

There is a reason that you will have a tough time finding pics of something so horrendous.

It can't be any worse than using a Farmall tractor grille.

IMO though, the '33 & '34 noses at too damned expensive for what they are.

I think I'd try to lay back a '32 shell and see what that looks like before I'd go and spend $2k on a '33 or '34.

I've only ever seen it once, on a yellow '29 roadster on a '32 frame, built about 1982. Still not sure if I like it or not, but it's gotta be better than ****s who back-date the grilles, ie: a '34 with a '32 grille.

I would like to get my hands o a 32 but are too way difficult to find or to expensive.Certainly I dont wanna spend $1000 on repro shell and grille from vintique or brookville.

Isnt there any 32 shell autocad drawings from any hamber with lenghts, etc ? Havet found any after 1 hour of searching.

I have too pals with 34 grilles I can get my hands on..., dont know how it would look. But if you say it stinks, I believe you guys.

The first one is Norm Grabowskis tub. I also think the grill was a modified Chevy grill as well.

    I am like you. I have a 34, no 32.
I would like to see more pics too.
I know it isn't the best look, maybe too radical for a traditional look, but I would like to think I could make it work too.

solid color(black) bias plies , and lose the hole in the hood.
He probably built a cutting edge car for the 90's.
the red one I think: a mess.

dirttracker26, any other shots, that one looks like it might work.

Get the two '34 grilles and sell them. Use the money to buy a '32 grille for your car and you'll still have a bundle left over.

Ahhh, I didn't see he was from south america.

You can buy reprop '32 shells here in the states for about $350 complete with the grille.

I can see what you mean about the '34 on a '28 though, kinda looks kludgey. Not nearly as slick as a '33 looks stock, though I have to say that just about anything (even a farmall nose) looks better than the shroud that came on a '28. IMO at least.

I've got a '29 sedan, and I'm currently in the midst of deciding what nose I'm gonna put on it. Currently, I'm leaning towards a '32 that's laid back at the top about 5-10 degs. Either that, or pie cut the sides and pull the bottom forward to make it kind of a boomerang shape in profile. There's more pondering to do on this front before I need to worry about it anyway.

    Shell - http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/ModelAParts/Radiator/4572?partnumid=

    Grille - http://www.snydersantiqueauto.com/ModelAParts/Radiator/4571?partnumid=

Those are new parts from a Brookville type joint.

Ebay can at times render a better deal if you're patient:

This guy had one just like this last week for $350, guess it sold too fast at that price.

    Here's just a shell.

Same guy, shell and grille combo.

So, perhaps I misspoke (or stepped on my ****, as my old man would say). Maybe you can't find them around every corner for $350 complete, but they are out there if you look around some.

Of course, no matter how cheap the deal, it's gonna cost you at least that much again just to get it into your hands, being as you live clear down there in the hinterlands and all that. ;)

No Hand, Ive never paid 100% more on things I bring from the US, not even 50%. And if that was the case Id prefer paying $300 x 2 and not $1000 x 2.

The reason it is hard to make a 34 grill look good on an A or even a 32 is most of your lines are verticle on A's and 32's. The cowl area on a 33/34 are laid back just like the grill. That and the 33/34 grills are way too tall for an A or 32.

Now take that and work with it. Cut the grill down to get the proportions right. The laid back cowl area is the hard part. Maybe a full hood will help.

I ran a cut down 37 truck grill on my A rpu. I was afraid the laid back grill and straight cowl would not work. It did and sorta made the truck. I think the hood made the difference.
