Had a big day on Saturday when I took my '32 Sedan for a quick drive up the road for the first time. I've owned it since about '97 and bought it as a bare body and chassis. Before that it had been passed around a few owners since it was found in the early seventies as a bare body lying on it's side out in the countryside. One of the owners did a lot of panel work on it and had it rolling, but the next owner stripped it down and kept a lot of the parts from it before selling it on. So as far as I know, it is the first time it has been on the road under it's own power for over 30 years! It was running a bit rough, but I have swapped out one of the carbs since then and it is a bit better now. There's still heaps of work to do, but it was great to have got this far http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=chGddQvJ14Q
nicely done, the exhaust note made me quiver!hope engine got up to temp. on such a short drive! Low & slow or hard & fast.would like to some smoke as well.
Sounds good Simon. Always a little spooky for this left hand driver to watch an Oz rod pull into the road on the left side. One of Carp's video's showed a girl leaving cruise night in Oz in a nice rd and I thought the next scene would show the results of a head-on. You guys do a lot better here than I think I would there vis a vis the other lane bit. Then again, probably more than a few untold stories by the down-under gang....
i was going to ask why you put the steering on the wrong side, but then i noticed you are on the other side of the planet.really sounds great, and a very nice stance.new hotrods are so much fun. -danny
