I am building a '42 Chevy highboy truck and i want it pretty much exactly like this one.. absolutely love everything about this truck minus the headlights. I don't think we can legally have the roof as low here though.. but anyway.. anyone got any info or other pics of this truck?
I forgot to mention the height issue.. i don't think they can be legally that low here either.. as a daily driver anyway. Mine will be higher. Anyway onto the question.. anyone know of any info on this truck or a build up thread or any other pics or anything?
I believe then owner is out of the Slat Lake City ,Utah area. If its powered by an old caddy engine then it belongs to a member of the Throttlers.
Highboy refers to the body being mounted above the frame, I.E. not channelled. I'm sayin' that this one is definitely channeled a bunch.
Squablow, Absolutely right mate. I forgot to mention that mine won't be as low.. it will be a highboy. But in general i want my Chev to be very similar. I've heard it is a member of the Throttlers cars.. anyone have any other pictures of it?
Yep, can't be channeled and a highboy. Exactly the same but different is a tough call. Why don't you do a search. There have been whole threads on trucks like this which probably will include more shots of this one.
wasnt that the one with the old mexican adverts for hookers painted on it? it had a magazine feature in old ckd.
I found two pictures of it on www.hotrod.com.. an article on the Throttlers car club. Not so much pictures of the truck itself but as a group shot.
