Get a hold of any truck freight company and they'll quote you based on weight and size. Motors are fairly economical to ship as the weight versus size is favorable.

You'll save A LOT if you drop the package off at the shipping terminal as opposed to having them pick it up.

We used Yellow freight from Sacramento to OKC. Make sure it is crated securely and be carefull with insurance. They would only insure it to $800 and this was based on weight. We got an additional policy and it is well worth the $$.

Motor freight from loading dock to loading dock is the best price.

I picked mine up at the loading dock and they loaded it into a pick-up truck bed for me!

Many, many times. Chris truck line is good, as is yellow. And make damn sure there is NO oil that can drip out, or they double the fee. When shipping through yellow freight, for example, they make you classify the cargo. that classification and the weight determine the cost. Fortunately, the driver was simpathetic and told me which class was cheapest. Cover it up in black plastic, wrap it up good.

HAMB Relay is cheapest. I can cover Tennessee to Texas for you.

I had a tranny shipped once. I used UPS freight. There's a little know deal they run, if you are a first time shipper with them for freight they will ship your first item for half price. If I remember correctly you had to ship the same day you get your quote. Call them to be sure.

    I've always used Forward Air.
It's really fast and surprisingly cheap.
