  1. 1955 or so Goggomobile. Looks like somebody made a sand buggy out of it. It had a 350 Chevy in it. It still has a narrowed 9" in it, from a golf cart I think, it's 4 lug with 12" rear wheels, and only 1 brake, on the left rear!

Hahaah, buy it and chop it

  3. That's what I'm thinking. Maybe put it on a gas golf cart ch***is. Or maybe put a 4cyl motorcycle engine in it.

A 350 Chevy??? Those things are barely big enough to fit a 5hp Briggs and Stratton.

  5. I know. The motor sat right where the front seats should be. The doors still work, but you wouldn't have been able to get in through them with the motor there. Would have been easy to change the plugs though.

One of the very early funny cars here used one of those bodies (Norm Oakey), with a stretched nose. Pretty sure they called it Pinochio. And it was rear engined. Wierd.

How about dropping in a 4-cylinder bike engine/clutch/******?

I'm thinking sort of a slightly larger street-going Legends car... :D

Thanks Dago, that's a great shot. I should know how to spell Pinocchio too - my wife's Italian!

That had to be one scary sand dragger!

  12. I just found out that it was used for tractor pulling. It has a big old hitch on the rear end. I was told it was a drag car too, but I don't see any sign of a rollcage.
