I called and oreded a couple things from them around 3 weeks ago...When the charge on my card never showed, I tried to call them back but didnt get an answer for a WHOLE WEEK or so... Finally I got ahold of em, asked em whats up with my order...I guess there was some problem with the order, so they put it through again and the guy PROMISED me that my stuff would be here in about a week... And of course that was about a week ago... Look on my online bank statement...No chages from them.... So I try and call ONCE AGAIN..... Godammit, their numbers are all disconnected. WTF??? Anyone know whats going on with them? Any OHIO hambers know the scoop? Thanks guys... -J.
Butch sold his shop in 1999. The only number I have for Butch is (937) 776-3031. Did you call it? Dave http://www.roadsters.com/
My dad was in the army with Butch. He's a VERY stand up (and nice) guy. He did sell off his business and "retired" in 1999. I wish he was around now that I have the '51, but alas, he is off now, enjoying the fruits of his labor (he was a plumber before he got into the "hot rod" business), and has put the past behind him as of late. I have no info as to the quality of the parts or the current owners, but I see they still run ads in the magazines as "Butch's Rod Shop"...so they must have bought the rights to the name as well, and thought his name was a good one to keep offering quality stuff. I got the chance back in 1991 or so to tour his shop while my dad had an army reunion with him and his other buddies in Ohio...(Dayton, on Northlawn Ave.) a very small, but very clean shop and Butch had one very clean '55 Ford that was a very simple and smooth custom. We went for a ride, and it even had the original 3 on the tree in place. I'll never forget the ride in the backseat, with Butch driving to a restaurant. It was a daily for him. No big deal. He was very interrested in my car interests at the time, (he thought a young guy like me was pretty cool for appreciating the types of stuff he did), and he let me drive a project '32 around his lot and take pics while we were visiting. Quite a thrill for an 16 year old. (at the time). Too bad he decided to sell off the business....I wonder what it's like now...I heard they moved operations some place else since buying him out.
I bought some parts from them about a year ago and will never do it again...sounds like whoever bought the business has their heads up their ass
Depends on what you are looking for, Butch is still around sorta. He buys and sells stuff mostly grilles, caps, bumpers, and other custom stuff. I seen him setup at a couple shows last year. He has a small webpage here web page
I stand corrected! Seems he can't stay away... Notice the Motorhome... He's a real nice guy. I'd buy from him in a heartbeat before I ordered anything from his former namesake. What is it with people running good names into the ground nowadays?!??!
Butch is just swapping a few parts these days. He has a web site here -> http://koolkustoms.homestead.com/ I'll guarntee that if you were dealing with Butch himself, you'd not have a complaint. As for the guys who took over, I don't know anything about them.
Second try. The only number I have for Butch is (937) 776-3031. Did you call it? Dave http://www.roadsters.com/

I bought a dual 1bbl intake for my Plymouth flatty off of him. Took time to chat with me and my little bro and even showed off his car and motorhome. He's good people!
I called that number, got some guy...sounded like I woke him up.... I knew that BRS got together with some other company around 1999, Im just confused cuz I talked to these guys a couple weks ago, and now they have fallen off the face of the earth.... I was just trying to get some suspension stuff for my 54 chevy.... I was gonna make some lowering blocks for the rear that would also relocate the 55 rear end on my springs, then I found an old BRS catalog and they had relocator plates for not much money, figured it would save me some time, but now looks like I gonna have to go back to plan A...Oh well, just one more thing to build ..Thanks guys! -J.
Try this number:937-746-1113. This Funks Antique Auto Parts. They are the one who bought the business from Butch.
