54 ford chop progress

    i'd love to see a few pics of how you cut around the backgl***. . . did you lower the gl*** into the package tray or did you lean it forward?

    As I recall, the 53 chev rear gl*** is ~2 1/2" shorter than the original 54 ford gl***. I did lean the gl*** forward some. Here's some pics to help explain. The silver tape in the pic is holding up some trim that hasn't yet been installed. 54chop

    Just installed the 3" drop Jamco deluxe front springs. The new bumpstops are practically touching the frame. Is that typical? Need to get the interior and brakes done so I can take it for a spin to see how the car rides. Some pics for comparison. 54chop

    It looks good. Could have used about a 6 inches of lowering. I have been contemplating tackling the same thing with my 54 Customline. It is a bit intimidating.

    i like it but it still sits a bit high for that chop in my eyes. great work on the chop though.
