my turn, yes a fucking newbie to the H.A.M.B., im not old enuff to have been there because it was like in the teens or 20's but ford made the car and chevy bro's made some racing parts(read in a few different books) to make it faster(engine stuff) for racing(i guess ford cost to much or wasnt fast enuff) either way its been going on a long time, its ok, it happens, try it one time, you might like. hell you could switch to gieco, install a sbc in your ford and then be able to afford to get ripped off by switching to time warner instead of at&t. if you didnt read all the threads you might not get that. oh by the way you might get pissed about this but we also put chevy vette grills in the ford shoebox. but then again ive seen 39 ford taillights on a 32 chevy....

  7. I guess most people do it because when it's your car, you can do whatever you want to it. Pink with yellow stripes? A Toyota engine? Well, that's pretty gay, I wouldn't do it, but what the hell. I wouldn't do the butt-sex, either, but some people sure seem to like it. As long as you're not trying to force your ways on me, I don't care what you choose to do.

Besides, if old Henry turned over in his grave every time someone put a Chevy engine in a Ford, you could hook him up to a generator and power most of lower Michigan.

Hot rodding is all about going as fast as possible for the least amount of money! And some of us chevy guys love ford looks but would rather have a chevy engine. My 66 f250, I put in a built 454 in it after the crappy 352 locked up. To each his own I don't understand the brand worshiping....

  14. My 39 Ford has a 283 in it with a hurst trans adapter and a Cragar motor mount that was installed sometime in the 60's. I cannot wait to yank it out for a 312 I have for it. Everyone seems to hate Y blocks, but my car, my choice :). The fuckin worthless 283 that is coming out of my car is going to my buddie, were it will be put into another Ford. I personally would never install a SBC in my cars, but you do what you want. If everyone liked the same thing, old cars would be BORING.

I can prove thats not true...

I have owned engines ranging from a 500cc Fiat to a 500Inch Caddy.
I could imagine Swapping a Chevy into the Ford Truck that I had already swapped a Ford into ( so I did it )

And I can imagine this Thread Closed...:)
