The rear plate trim piece is from a Chevy, sectioned and shaped to fit the contour of the rear bumper. Looked to chunky and big so it is "skinnied" up to look smaller and lighter.

  3. Way the frick cool! I've always just loved the lines of a 36 coupe -- and you're doing a great job. Love the grille -- is the a LaSalle?

Keep us posted -- this is one build that I'll love to keep up on.

Very nice lines and the taillights...perfect. It's hard lead and not follow. The unusual grill feels like it bulges out. Is it the photo or the horizontal lines instead of vertical ones? No matter good job.

I got lucky on the bumper. After collecting about 4 other regular 41 delux bumpers looking for a good one, I found this one on ebay for $45. Go figure?

I'll give you a hundred bucks to park it in my driveway for a couple hours. If my neighbors thought that that was what I was up to in the garage maybe I'd get a little more respect around here:D:D:D

    A world cl*** build.

I love it! Are they Coker Cl***ic R16's? What are you doing with the wheels?

Thats right, theyr'e Coker r16 tires, thought I'd try them out.

Wheels will be painted, not sure on color yet. Caps are old flippers with ribs on the outer edge of the cap. they are big and almost cover the whole wheel.

Everything is perfect, except don't cover that rear bumper with a plate and guard. Maybe sink the plate in the rear deck instead? With a small window like they used to do?

Man, they must be big flippers! A good period look though. I like the plate and surround. I think it tightens up the rear and gives a kind of "purpose" for the dip in the bar.
