1947-1955 GMC hood

Does anyone make a replacement hood for the 1947 thru 1955 first series GMC trucks ?

YES THEY DO,( but it's for a Chevy)(GMC probly not far behind)in steel too, RB"s Obsolete just advertized such in one of their ads, but it wasn't cheap. You should be able to find a good used one tho, usually the easiest part to find in good shape for those trucks.

 

i have a chevy hood of that same era, it has a dent in it but it you cant find one i could sell it to you cheap!

 

Chevy is a different hood than the GMC, GMC's is rounded to clear front grill shell. But I'm sure you could trim a chevy hood to fit. HAHAHA lets be honest the panels on these things fit like shit to begin with anyway

 

Talked to RB"s no GMC hood in the works. Will try to fix mine.

 

I have a pretty nice one leaning against the wall in my shop. Surface rust only and a couple of small dents. PM me if you are interested. I am located in OKC. I have a complete 100 series and an extra front sheet metal set because parts are so hard to find.
