Guy I work with has a complete air bag setup, minus bags, that he's asking $100 for. Its a Viair 550, 8 gallon tank, 4 quick dump valves, and 4 reg valves. He just called me and told me the compressor isn't working. So I'll probably get it cheaper.

Can they be rebuilt? He said it must have got water in it while it was sitting, because it "sounds seized". Still a good deal, especially if I get it all for $75 or under?

550s are m***ive. They also need to be mounted in a dry area. ViAir does offer rebuild parts for them as far as i know but a lot of the time it ends up being worth to find another one depending on whats wrong with it.

Tanks and valves alone are worth more than the asking price.

Ok, he just dropped it off, the pump works. He was testing it on a lawnmower battery haha, it wouldn't even turn it. He hooked it up to an optima he had laying around and it fired right up. Turns out its a 5 gallon tank, but the pump works fine.

That's a nice deal, good luck with it. The parts alone are much more than the asking price.
