I would check with the local VFW or American Legion....they should have some kind of "any service member" mail program in place
I found this one .. But, I ***ume it only works for "TEXAS" " Any B company , 3-144 Infantry soldier in Iraq " 2200 W. 35th Street building 42 Austin, Texas 78763 I'll keep looking to see if I can come up with better info no matter your stand on the war The folks over there need a few things , never know ..Might spark a little joy / interest in someone
you can't send a package to "any soldier" anymore for security reasons, but there are other easily researchable ways to get names of soldiers. The only magazines on the shelves in iraq are import tuner, gm high tech mag, hot rod, crotch rocket mags, and of course miles of FHM, other half **** mags, and muscle body building mags. Lame. Any magazine that is different than that is good.
Contact you local USO. I just started collecting and giving recently here in Ohio. Here is the USO directory site: http://uso.org/whoweare/findyourlocaluso/
www.anysoldier.com or www.anyairman.com Is one way .. Send any magazines new or old ..read rules I'll keep looking for other options too
I spent a tour over there in 05-06 and the one thing we didn't need was more stinking hard candy! I was in Anbar province supporting II MEF units and we threw away pounds and pounds of hard candy. What I appreciated getting more than anything was decent toilet paper. KBR supplies 80 grit Resin bond in the portajohns. Also decent car mags because Ricer, 4x4 and new car bolt on bling **** mags are all the exchanges stocked besides Hadjii **** (FHM, Stuff, etc.).
