I just missed a certainly not cherry Model A coupe body that had a well done chop but still needed ALOT of work for 1,500.00. It was for sale locally and the owner had a line of people wanting to pay for it. I would guess and really nice Model A coupe body could be upwards of 4-5 grand if it is really nice and solid and has good doors, deck, garnish moldings, etc.
A 1932 coupe body is a totally different story and could be 10 to 15K if it is a five window and double that amount for the elusive three window.

A Bunch and a WHOLE bunch. Respectively.

Five windows are climbing past the 15k mark.

  4. '32 coupes? WAY WAY more than they are worth.

Actually, they sell for EXACTLY what they are worth. Willing buyers, willing sellers. Simple economics.

This ain't Walmart. They aren't all lined up in nice packages to buy at your whim.

Every single one is gonna depend on the condition, the location, the time of year, weather, etc. No way you can generalize except to get within a few thousand dollars.

    How high is up?

Last Spring, someone had a not-so-cherry, but not-so-bad, complete '29 coupe body for sale at a local swap. It had a pair of rear fenders with it, too. The guy wanted $2500. I thought it was a fair price. I asked the Model A guys what they thought of the price, and they laughed their rearends off. It went unsold. I still think it was a fair price, though.

This isn't henry steel, but I've had my eye on a 32 Chev 5 window. It belonged to a friends father who died last year. He paid 1800.00 for it a couple years ago. I can get it for the same, and it needs an awfull lot of work.

I got a 1932 Ford 3 Window (steel) up on ebay right now... Prices are not what they used to be for these... but they are by no means cheap.

Model A's are the way to go... affordable and just as fun to drive.
