Custom Bed Floor '59 fleetside

    This is a good start on my bed floor. I do not get to work on it much so it may be a little while before I get to update on the progress.

    1959 fleetside bed.

    The floor is made out of 3/4" aluminum honeycomb. I had to splice two pieces together w/ a hardwood spline and some magnolia epoxy. I wanted the look of a one piece bed floor. I'm not sure if I am going to paint it or just rhinoline/line x the thing. I will post pics as I get more work done.

    Here are some shots of the tailgate latches I came up with also.

    It's good to see the progress on your truck. That's looking killer and I can't wait to see more...

    I just started pulling the dry-rotted plywood out of my '58 Saturday. I'm keeping mine without a floor, but welding in a rail so that I can load my bike in and tie it down.
