v8 model A radiator help

  1. I know that Walker is the best, just wondering where is the best place to buy one. It doesn't have to be a walker, just looking for a good "factory fit" radiator for a 30-31 model A

I've got a 65 mustang radiator in my model A's...one cooling a flathead, and one cooling a hemi. They fit just fine behind an A grillshell, and a 32 grillshell, and I've had no problems cooling.

Plus it was $130 at the local parts store. I had a local radiator shop add a couple of inlets/outlets for the flatty for $25.

  4. I would like to see some pics of a mustang radiator in a Model A grill shell. Anyone have any? Including pics of how it is mounted.

Here's a few pics of mustang radiators in hot rods...an 'A' shell, a 32 shell, and a 35 chevy shell....they work fine...of course that's if you want your car to look "thrown together" like these pieces of shit...

I don't have any mounting pics...but they are just mounted to the crossmembers at the bases, attached to the shells on the sides, then the shells to the top braces going to the firewall. The two flathead-powered cars are further braced with all the pipes, and hoses.
