    thanks everyone!

HoDaddy, like I said in the PM, ask Lindross. I can't think of the owner's HAMB name, but he's friends with Lindross, GMCBubba, RunaroundSUe and the rest of the Indy crew.

Very KOOL!! GREAT story, I have the same thing with my wife, I want her on here but she just won't do it, but is happy to read over my shoulders!! Just be glad she understands. Not many of us have girls that will put up with all of our krap!!! She's a keeper (as if you didn't know!!)!! Did you ever get the '59 figured out? would like to know the problem...Ken

Oh yeah... congrats, and happy birthday

..such is life!!,I had similar experiences with my 1st wife many years ago, such as towing a '38 chev on an "A" frame, lost a wheel on the Auckland motorway, left the car to get a trailer, came back found it gone ( highway salvage picked it up:mad: $$$$) .Loaded the car on the trailer, and promptly dropped it in the middle of the traffic lights when I realised the salvage people hadn't tied it down properly.:p
I see your Grandad was based in Bournemouth prior to "D" day..Good on Him! We need more people like him in this world today.

  9. Any one (man or woman) who can get a car ready for a long road trip like that in 9 months is definitely HAMB material.

Congrats on the wedding, surviving the honeymoon and keeping it together during a trying time. Glad that you both made it back.

  10. Congratulations on your marriage. I hope the rest of your lives has a few less diversions. What is wrong with the 59?

Don't know yet. Bad coil maybe? It's gone through 2-3 sets of points this year and none in the last 3 years.

wow, you guys are really digging deep into the HAMB today! Bored?

I converted to Pertronix and got the carb adjusted properly... it was way, way, way too rich.

Elizabeth and I are now expecting identical twin girls. We don't like to do things the easy way. :D

wanna do it again? :D We need to start lining up babysitters now.

Yeah, we sold the BelAir awhile ago and I just sold my Fleetline. It was picked up yesterday. I still have the 59 and 2 other projects and Elizabeth is planning her race car now so she can jump right into it as soon as the kids are old enough be left alone for a few hours. :D

  21. Well, I'll tell ya something. If you and your new wife stay together as longs a Vicky and I have, you will be telling your grandkids how much fun that trip really was. Experineces like that tie you together for a long long time. I won't go into ours, but suffice it say, she was 18 and I was 19 and we had a very similar experience. The best and most remembered part was all the great times in the back seat waiting on day light and help. Ahhh, the good memories.
