Does anybody know this guy in Northport Florida? He has conned at least 6 HAMBrs out of several hundred dollars within the last 2 months. This is mail fraud. Before legal action is taken, step up Mitch and make things right or can someone talk to him?? His address is 4372 Worchester Ave, Northport Florida. Please pm me if you are a victim. He is now on the HAMB bad seller list.

    This is Skibo,

I am here, I am not a scammer, or a con artist. Rest assured that this matter is being taken care of 100%. The phone # listed is a very old number (land line) have not used it in 2 or 3 years, it must be reassigned to someone else.

I was not able to login to the Hamb until today (Sat)

Ryan is aware of the situation

Fellow Hamb Member Mutt knows where I live, we visited today, I showed him the Boxes of parts ready to be shipped, waiting on shipping addresses, I had a computer problem and was not online for a long while, I recieved Paypal payments but had not written down the shipping addresses, I was waiting for Paypal to post to my acct, then the computer went down. I could not login to the Hamb as I was banned during that time, I found a email with Ryan's email address....contacted him, he let me login to explain my problem. I have contacted some of the folks already today.

I ask all of you for forgiveness, and in no way wanted to cause the Hamb or any members any trouble. We have a great bunch of Rodders here selling, helping others, and trying to build rods.

    Thanks for reading,

    Mitch Maris

He promised a tracking number here too after I pm'd him and requested a ph #. He did disclose a ph # but no tracking # or ship date. Only got his voice mail, the intro message seems to be him. The ph number is 941 914 3001

I too got the "I'll send your parts and give you the tracking #" deal!!!
Yet to see my parts or the money refunded, which was my preference as I've since bought another set of spindles.
    Cheers,
    Stewart.

Just got off the phone with Maris, and found out that he got my two boxes off on diffrent days, because they wouldent accept one of the boxs the first time. Sounded like a really nice guy, and he gave me a tracking number too...

Sure would be nice if this 'nice guy' would call me back or answer his emails. So far no parts, no correspondence - zip - still hanging after 2 months and still feeling conned.

I have to agree with no55mad, I am losing patience. I did receive a PM regarding a tracking number that I would receive, as others have. But still nothing. I am trying to be understanding about his situation, but enough is enough. Please notify us with info on when we can expect our parts. Thanks to everyone that has assisted in this situation.

if people paid for some thing with paypal it is always best to use a credit card.

if a seller doesn't ship within a reasonable time or avoids emails go through paypal and to an item not recieved complaint. the seller will need to provide a tracking number showing delivery, or paypal will take the money back out of the account.

if there is no money in the sellers account go through your credit card and do a complaint through them. your credit card will take the money from paypal directly, then paypal will try to get the money from the seller.

you have 45(?) or was it 60?? days to do this through paypal. your credit card is probably 90.. but it may vary.

if you file the complaint and the item arrives after you can always pay the guy again.

I don't know anything about this guy or these transactions.. just letting people know how paypal works.

Paypal settled in my favor. I was refunded $.87 (87 cents) out of $140.00. Of course he took the money out of Paypal so it couldn't be refunded. It would be best to set up Paypal payment through a credit card for a more secure transaction as 49ratfink advised. Lessons learned - not all cyber transactions are safe!

Skibo has come through with the shipping of parts to the 6 parties that were affected. I would like to publicly thank two HAMB members for helping in this situation: Mutt and Hellraiser. Mutt lived close to Skibo and personally went to his residence on more than one occasion. This is a great example of car guys sticking together and helping each other out! Hellraiser was also very supportive in this matter. Thanks again Mutt and Hellraiser!!!
