Denise, you rock!.... and Hellraiser is one hell of a great guy. You two really made my weekend.

What a great time - I still can't believe you crashed my Halloween party and were able to get that amazing tour of the Speedway Museum, all in the same day! We all had a great time partying it up with ya. I'm really glad you enjoyed yourself while you were here and look forward to the Autorama weekend.

Until I saw your photos, I never realized just how many HAMB members were at the party. What a great bunch of friends - even the one that puked on the new checkered tile basement floor! :D It usually takes a week to get the house all cleaned up after one of these partys... oh well, it's worth it!

I'm also trying to get Jess to do an intro. I really think she, and her sister, dad, family, are some of the nicest, most genuine hot rod people I know.... and she and her dad are building a (traditional) '34 Ford coupe together! What a perfect addition to our HAMB family.

    Viva la HAMB!

    Malcolm :D

I left it with Hellraiser as I knew they wouldn't allow it on the plane. Since they took away my hairspray, I knew they sure in hell weren't going to allow a bottle of whiskey on board. I'm sure that bottle will show up at an event this summer that we all attend.;) :D

I miss you guys already  xoxox

The Moller-Adams engine, often called the C-T Automotive engine or the City of Burbank engine, was bought completely rebuilt sitting on a pallet at C-T Automotive complete with all the foundry patterns and machining jigs by the owner of Specialized Auto Parts in Houston TX in the late 60s. It was sold in the late 70s to an employee who moved with it to his hometown of Okmulgee, OK. He had plans to detune the engine and use it in a hotrod he had built as a youth, a chopped and channeled 34 Cabriolet. Plans changed and the engine was offered for sale in Hemmings Motor News with a few lowbuck offers but no takers at $25K. The engine was sold to Speedy Bill sometime in the 80s, I believe. I missed it in the photo array but Denise did say it was edited for length.
Having worked at Specialized for years I spent many hours contemplating that fabulous, and virtually new, engine along with all the other 4 and V8 OHV and OHC engine conversions that were at Specialized in those days. A huge collection of intakes and heads for 4s and V8s along with the remaining uncompleted parts and inventory and all existing foundry moulds and machining jigs from Eddie Meyers...Hollywood.
    Those were the days...

I'd help you pick it up, but I'm jaw dropping just as much as you I think.:D I'd go absolute NUTS in a room with some of those engines.

And the pedal cars, it's my inner child screamin to get out.:D

The plan for '08 is the GNRS in Jan and LA Roadster show in June. Me, Megan and Catherine are making plans for next summer right now.

Not only did I not post every photo I took BUT I did not take a photo of everything in the place. If you notice in the background of a few of the photos you can see racks and racks of engines that we didn't even get close to. I'll make sure I have a bigger memory card next time.:D

Your as good at posting music as I am at videos:p

  19. WOW. Thanks for posting. Speedy Bill's has to be one of the all time best car museums anywhere. Period.

Thanks for posting the pics, my camera took a dump on me in all the places I wanted to use it most, including there. I loved that place. I think you could get lost in there for days and not be able to find people. Bill was so nice, we spoke for a long time about his Miller and Offy engines, one of my loves. He is an endless font of knowledge.

I don't know if he pointed out the other two warehouses across the parking lot that are also supposed to be filled with speed parts.

Thanks again for all the pics.

    Best, MRAK

WOW ! I know its all amazing., But the coolest part for me of everything there would be meeting Speedy Bill. Can you even imagine that he had enough vision to create all that!?
As a collector I also have a real fondness for those pedalcars of his. Shazam!

Lots of stuff. Thanks for taking all the pictures. I liked seeing my Plymouth sitting there, even if it's still on a pallet
