You guys ruled on Challenge 1, lets see what you can do on number 2! the car.. 1949 Ford Anglia same rules as the first one. deadline will be Nov 9, noon CST
I havent even voted on the 1st challenge yet, and here I am starting on challenge #2. I must commend all the entries in the 1st challenge! There are great and tallented artist out there!! Great job all! OK now time to vote!
Say Hello to Angie! I would Chop her 4 inches and section the body another 4 inches as well. I would channel the body 4 inches over the frame and hope I have wheel clearence. on 2nd thought who cares about clearence? Rework the grill abit, and widen the rear fenders! I had to refrain from popping a blower out the hood! Maybe? Maybe, later! Oh ya I almost forgot add custom running boards!
cool! I think maybe after the voting is over on #1 we can pin this up to the top. Gasser is the obvious way to go with this, but I'm looking forward to seeing some other ideas.
Here's a quickie I did about 10 years ago.Nothing special;just thought I'd start it off. 8X10 done in Pilot Razor point.
loosely inspired by hamb's own "limey kid" 's old ride....and a idea i've had for a few years....anglia tub....not quite like the earlier touring ....this has more of model a touring bustle ....throw in the duvall style windshield ....and move that front axle out a few inches...set it down thom taylor low....2300 or ecotec and a 5 gear and your ready to cruise.....got another one ,same deal ...older idea...would work fine..... brandon
Great entries so far, keep it up. Great work Billy, Brandon & Safari! I just added a few highlights to "Angie". Engine details & of course a drivers side mirror.
Anglia Gasses have always been one of my favorites but, I thought they were too tall, too short and too squirrely. So,chop it, drop it, extend the w/base two feet with the help of a Suicide front end, loose the fenders and install a healthy flat head. Bloody Hell Govna, thats a right nice bit of kit ya got there.
16'' GM temp wheels up front 18'' crysler 300C temp rims w/ firestone www flipped in reverse. Dragin rockers, VW split window ragtop and roof section.
Can,t draw for shit so I built a fullsize model. Ha ha ha. Interesting take on my old ride Gasit........
Whoa! You guys managed to make the tiny Anglia look huge! The triple opening radiator grille is brilliant.
bump from down below.. i know the pencil and paint guys take a little longer, I want to make sure everyone sees this in time to do something.
Kool stuff kids, I always thought the Anglia as an ugly car, but some of the kool renderings here, makes me want to buy one!
Going to do a little more custom work on this one but I still like to keep things subtle. Converting this one into a Sedan delivery with a chopped top. Shave the handles and lower the headlights to the fender and fill the side vents. A one piece grille with horizontal bars to match the hood vents. I see so many gassers with spoke wheels it just felt it needed something similar so I went with the Intro wheels all around and put it closer to Earth. Here we go.
Ghost Ride The Whip my Homies!! I give you the "Abortion from the ATL"® I'm thinking DONK! Gold plating, 30"s with a lift kit, lime green with Louis V logos. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! I'LL BE BACK -stick
Come on guys!!! Not one "Gasser"? Look out folks, I got Gas! I would like to own one of these cars someday!
"Blighty!" If you're not familiar with British slang, "blighty" is a term of affection for Jolly Ole England. The Anglia is a strong British presence and is held in great affection here and across the Atlantic so I thought I would design my contest entry as a British themed rod. First thing is to add to the pile of fenders we've created. Next; remove about a foot of length in the rear window area. This would create a shortened coupe-like body. For power I would suggest a Jaguar V12. Adequate horsepower as the Brits might say! And for the paint job... Candy Apple British Racing Green! Dig those crazy tail lights!
