I need to change over a 57 Chevy truck front end to a 5 lug. I only have one drum/hub on it, so I can't re drill the drum and hubs.

Does anyone know what, if anything will bolt on to these spindles? I was told a 53-57 Car hub would, but that's a 10" drum not 12 like mine, so I would need backing plates too......
I want to do an undersprung front on my 18 Dodge and this would work perfectly.

    Thanks

my 53-54 chevy stock drum on the shelf is 11" just measured. the holland interchange shows the pickup hub and drum#679 fits 51-59. so the 52-54 p*** hub and drum should fit. i dont know about your measurements.i have done this swap on a 55ist truck.

51-59 1/2 ton (6 lug) truck hub and drum can be replaced with 51-54 car 5 lug hub and drum. Both are 11 x 2" brakes

    Thanks,
So who sells the 51-54 hubs? I can get the drums from the LPS, but none of them can find a hub.

I just realized that I have access to a 51 Chevy. I'm already getting parts off it...... I thought it only went back to 53, so I'm in luck. All of the brake parts are there, it's still a rolling ch***is....

I looked, Speedway sells 49-54 spindle conversion to mustang II.
Or for $1K you can get a Wilwood disk brake setup, yeah right....

Thanks guys, WE got enough info to put the puzzle together!

make sure you get the dust shield thing that goes on the spindle up against the backing plate, after you take off the hub....or at least remember to remove them from the truck! the truck shields are a bit too big, and will hit the car hub and make metal grindys.
