  1. I'm curious as to what all you hot rodders out there would buy, somewhere between 2005 and 2008?

A truck to haul crap with. If it came with a trailer I would be happy.

It wouldn't be another Honda. Got an '03 Pilot & an '05 CR-V. The Pilot is a big pile of crap! I'll never buy another Honda.

Probably a truck, like mentioned above. Something reliable with a big towing capacity!

  6. My last daily driver was a 95 accord-looked like shit but with 215000 on the odometer it still ran great. I sold it for a few hundred more than I paid for it. I'm currently stuck on 2 wheels til I buy it's replacement, and it's gettin cold (39 on my way home this morning)

Well, I have a 31 Roadster and building a 37 truck, guess I would want a later model truck...hmm, maybe a 40 Willis truck...if that's not possible, a new Chevy truck for hauling would be just right

I drive an 07 GMC pickup and my wife drives an 06 RT Magnum. I don't think I need any more newer vehicles (just a few more old ones :D).

If I was rich? A new 2008 standard cab Silverado 4x4 in dark blue...

...if not that, then a new Colorado two wheel drive four door pickup in black...or maybe just a nice used 2005-up Colorado pickup if funds were slightly tighter yet.

Other than that, I'd just keep driving old junk!!!

Truck, I would either get a Silverado W/ the Duramax and the Allison, or a Dodge. I would actually prefer a 1/2 ton if either of them put a diesel in one. I remember reading that GM was coming out with a 1/2 ton diesel in early '07, guess that didn't pan out.

If money wasn't an issue I'd buy a brand new red Corvette ragtop as my daily driver and I'd just borrow a friends truck if I needed anything hauled. :D

  15. What are your thoughts on the Magnum? You dig it, or what? That's what I have been looking for, test drove a few, been trying to find a good deal on one.

Nobody likes Ford I guess. I'd buy a New Shelby if I had that much extra coin. I'll have to just suffer by now with my 2007 Explorer Sport-Trac Limited with the 4.6l V-8 and five speed auto.

It has been a good car so far, but even though I have had it for almost 2 1/2 years, it still only has a little over 20k miles on it. It has plenty of power for a daily (especially a station wagon) and I have had no problems with it. My only complaint is that my kids can't see out the windows very good. The "chopped" look is accomplished by bringing the top of the doors up higher making it hard for a short person to see out.

A turbocharged Pontiac Solstice, or the Saturn version. Does the Camaro comeout in 08' or 09'? Cuz if it is 08' I would be getting one of those. :)

I have an '06 Dakota, it's ok, gets shitty mileage, but had the best fit and finish of any of the small and medium sized trucks. I have an hour commute for the next 18 months, I looked at a bunch of different vehicles to try and save some gas money. Nothing strikes my fancy. I guess I'll just have to put the 2.8 in the Anglia. :D

I love my father-in-law's, it get's better mileage than my Dakota and it's got the Hemi. Rides great, fast as shit, handles nice.

  24. I don't like most of the newer rides out there, the only things I have been remotely interested in is the Magnum and maybe a Colorado. I've driven both, and I can't get over how nice the R/T magnum was.

  25. I'm kinda partial to this one of ours:

2004 Colorado w/full airride, shockwaves all around. Fatman mustang II front suspension, handbuilt rear triangulated 4 link, fully painted interior. It is the newest thing we own. I like it.

  26. Have you seen the Super Stock version of the Challenger? It comes race ready and is not street legal.

I get asked this question all the time at work and it is hard to answer.
I guess first and foremost a Bently Continental Gt
    [IMG]

but since that is totally out of the question either a Cadillac XLR
    [IMG]

    or Magnum wagon

I had a Magnum wagon rental when I went to Paso this year and LOVED it. It was super sporty and practical (practical, yuck, did I really say that? :))

  28. I've drooled over this truck for quite a while. I hear that the front suspensions are a bitch, is that the reason for the Mustang 2 front? Great lookin truck

I used to be strickly a Chevy guy until the1980's.
I bought a used Toyota pickup one year and became hooked.
I have been driving Tacoma's now for 20 years.
I am not making this up.....
I have never had a mechanical or electrical problem on any of them ever. The four wheel drives can't be stuck and are sure footed.
So far I have bought five of them.
