I just wanted to thank the guys at Bodylines for helping me out with a Pepsi Machine restoration. They bailed me out when another paint/hack hot rod shop in town totally botched the job the first time, claiming, "it's only a Pepsi Machine". The two guys from Sacto do nice work here in AUSTIN NOW, even when it's not a car, and they treated me well. It's rare to find guys who take pride in their work, and won't let **** slide out the door. Thanks for the referral Ryan.

Dude, you're in Texas now. Get rid of it and get a Coke machine. That's probably why the first shop figured you wouldn't care if it ****ed.

Coke it the real thing. Coke is it!

I think a Dr Pepper machine is even more appropriate.

Good to know Thomas and his boys are keeping the quality high.

I looked for a coke machine, but this one popped up for a song. $200. Too bad, I have way more than that in it. Probably more than some people have in their rat rods :) . Kinda funny how far I took it. Pictures to follow soon.

Join the club Lux, I've been labeled as a hack too. It seems everyone always has it all figured out.

Bodylines didn't seem to have a problem with the media, because they took the time to do a quality job, that's why I put up this post...because they do quality work. I wanted people to know that.

I didn't mention the other shop who botched the job at all, on purpose. But it seems that getting quality work done is **** retentive, a quality that I want someone doing work on my **** to have. So if that's me, then thanks for the complement. Just because you're happy with half *** work, doesn't mean that everyone else is.

So, I'm feeling a bit vilified here...Let's get a real good feel for "botched."

was it the right color?-hope so, as you gave us the paint codes.

were the lines straight/where they were supposed to be?
yep- we used your photos to make sure it got back to where it was originally.

was there any problem with the metal work? -as I recall, we replaced a few peices, and pulled some dings...but that stuff seemed fine in the aftermath.

here is where the problem lies...effectively, it's a refridgetartor. with lots of fun stuff such as insulation, folded lip seams, and various nooks and crannies we had a real hard time getting the media out of.
We managed to make it all the way to clear without a problem (with the exception of the long amount of time it took for the material to dry) when it decided to let go of some media. the machine , as a whole looked pretty damn good, with only a small area affected by the contamination.

Surely, you have "before" and "after" pics...I don't mind some pictures of our "terrible" work, if you have them.

As far as Bodylines Quality, I agree, their workmanship is top notch.
I also think we can stand beside them with some of our own...granted, of course we know we are painting "show quality" Pepsi machines rather than "driver quality".

and yeah...at the end of the day, It's a Pepsi machine...Tell me again what the heck it has to do with Traditional style Hot Rods and Customs? So it's paint. Yay. you gonna show us your flamed toilet seat next?

Why don't you two fellas just call each other and work this out between yourselves rather than air it out for the world to see? Adults...
