Can't find any good body hammers at a reasonable price and I tired of breaking them cheap *** china made ones. Who makes a good one for a decent price.

Breaking them how? Body hammers aren't sledgehammers...Martin, MAC and a few others are made to last a lifetime, pay the price for good tools and they'll be with you always...

Martin, streamline, I use Snapons and they are from a set I bought 26 yrs ago. Still haven't broke one. Quality is not cheap.

I own both martin and proto hammers, the proto's are about 20 years old and have held up to daily use. Martins seem to hold up too. EVERY hammer has its purpose, don't use a body hammer when a ballpeen will do.

Check Ron Fournier's website, I think he sells Proto.

Martin hammers hold up very well, and the price is very reasonable.

Sears used to sell Martin hammers at a discount price. I'd check them.

Snap-on are the best in my opinion, they have a perfect balance to them. Had mine for 15yrs, and pretty much all the other body men I know will use nothing else.

Check eBay, I see there are a few on there right now, might be a good way to save money on one.

Flea Markets, Swap Meets, Ebay ---- in that order. Unless you're "Diamond Jim" then just hit the tool truck ;)

Check the parting lines on the heads.Sam deal as on crankshafts.

Forgings will have wide parting lines, casting have narrow parting lines.

You can modify a cheap ball peen hammer by heating it with a torch and forging to your specs

I bought my set of snap-on hammers in 1983 and they haven't broke yet, people say quality costs money and it was money well spent.

we use the snap-on hammers but if you are looking for a set just to use now and then, the snap-on guy sells a nice set of Blue Point body tools for a reasonable price
