OMG, has it been that long It's been exactly 5 years this month that I posted my intro and started actively participating. The HAMB has evolved quite a bit since then. So have I and so has Big Olds. Where has the time gone?? Anyway, it's tradition around here to post an auction to benifit the HAMB community when a member hits a milestone so here's my 10,000 post auction. Up for grabs is one HUGE batch of chocolate chip cookies. This won't be your normal paperplate covered, church bazar, cookie sale amount. This will be a HUGE box shipped next day air directly to your door so the cookies arrive practicaly still warm from the oven. Auction ends Sunday Nov 11th at 11pm EST As a side note, I'll throw in some very sought after HAMB Meet & Greet stickers from around the country.

Speaking from experience - taste tested! - I just can't let this one go by!! Now we have a bit of a conundrum; will this be in U.S. funds; or Canuck bucks?? Canadian dollar rose to $1.07 over the weekend. (that means every $US is only worth $.93 to us!! - that's CENTS!) I'll go $175.00 USA FUNDS!! Denise, you just have to promise you won't let "John-in-Oz" deliver them!! (if I get lucky!!)
and whos fault is that Mr I missed the HAMB meet and Greet at the HCPU? at least 175 cookies Then I tell ya what, the next time you're in the States, or planning to come, give me a stateside address and I get them to you the day after you arrive here. I'll trade ya for a Polish license plate.
Dan if you make a visit up there you gotta bring me, if you dont you better bring me back a crumb, I too cant spend over 200 on cookies my wife would beat me sensless..lol besides ive got a car to build. but hearing all about Denise's cookies makes me want to test drive one!
Fellow HAMBers, I am pretty new to the board, but have come to find a lot of people I already knew were on here. I've met new people and even started doing business with some of them. I log on and check the board every day. It is really fun, interesting, informative, sometimes gets me riled-up and it's even a bit addicting. The purpose of the auctions is to raise mony to support RYAN'S efforts and the board in general. A really great thing -Thanks Ryan. So here is my idea. Many of us can't or won't spend 100's of dollars on Denise's cookies, although rumor has it that they are priceless, but a bunch of us would probably spend $10 or $20. How 'bout seeing how much money one plate of cookies can raise by all of pitchin in our "contribution". Once the Auction ends we could have Denise send the cookies to HAMBANDY or some other deserving person and Ryan can get the cash. You guys know WE don't need more cookies! Just an idea....maybe the group effort would net the board more cash....... John
While it's a nice thought, this auction has already started and it wouldn't be fair to the current bidders. There are always lots of cookies in my HAMB friends futures that don't cost them a dime.
