How many have a name for your car?Who's got a name or cartoon or something on their trunk or somewhere?
Miss Behavin' is the name for mine. Although she was good yesturday when I fired her up for the first time. She sounded sweet.
My '40 Plymouth g***er is River Valley Shaker, and my '29 Plymouth with Pontiac drivetrain is Half-Breed...I've named all of my vehicles, sort of my tribute to vintage racecars I've loved all my life.
A couple of mine. The lettering on the dashboard was done in 1963 with Rust-O-Leum.It will probably still be like new when the car turns to dust. The back window I did about 10 years ago to simulate a broken script. The other one was originally the,"Tin Indian" but I decided to upgrade it a bit after adding all the stripe flames.
I think the only names that should stick are names that friends give to friends cars. You know. It's just my opinion though.
Well at first the name for my A was just a joke and now it's kind of stickin' the Fordsmobile, two cars one package, body of ford, heart and soul of an olds. '29 A sedan with a 303 rocket/hydro and olds rear, with a set of '34 olds wheels beauty rings and caps. Still in the works though.
Grant, why stop now? hehehe...Littleman/Dave, always dug the car, how've you and the missus and daughter been?
My wife named mine (grey primer '37 chevy sedan) on the Chicagoto Green Bay leg of the '04 Power Tour. She called her "The Grey Ghost". My ride would disappear in the fog and mist off of the Great Lakes. Upgraded the tail and brake lights after that. She also refers to her as my "mistress".
All is well, just trying to survive.....Trying to decide if I should finish DeathsDoorStep or shift gears and finish my 1949 Divco Milk Truck..Littleman
It will be painted...I have always pictured it flat Red, I have no reason why, I just always seem to come back to that color, but I do see it possibly going Big flake w/ Deaths doorStep in gold leaf..........Littleman Dave
My dad and uncle had pooled their money when they were 13 and 15 to buy the neighbors old 32 sedan drag car. Never did have enough money to get the car back on the road so they ended up selling it for $125 (shoot me now)....anyways.. All he has left is an old faded picture of the car sittin at the familiy farm with "Mister Meaner" written on the door. I always swore i was gonna name my sedan that in memory of that car...plus its kinda fitting for the car. When i had my buddy do the lettering, we had him put "Miss Demeanor" over the p***anger door for when the girlfriend rides along......or to make it embarrasing for any guy to ride shotgun....
all mine are common names everybody uses , ***** , ******* , sum ***** and mother****er! with the occasional "thats my baby" thrown in just to let the addictive soul ****in heathen know i care about them..
"Hairy Cherry" is the name of my HJ. But it has parts from so many different cars on it I am thinking Miss Celaneous would be better. My wife named it "That Piece of **** in the Garage"!
Geez, I'm an 80's rocker...then and now. When I saw the car and the name I thought of Ratt, not Johnny Cash.
this one is "THE LITTER BOX"... a feral cat kept ****ping in it while it was under a tarp next to my shed. i haven't done the lettering yet
Wow, You missed the boat. If the car was an Iroc Z or maybe a Dodge Daytona I could go for some Ratt, But my stems go back a little further son. I got my haircut and took off my Arthur Fonzereli sun gl***es along time ago. " If you ever see me coming and you know who I am, don't you breath to nobody cause you know I'm on the lamb"
The RPU is called "Fuelish Pleasure" Next build has a little Dodge hemi that I will be calling "Delusions of Grandour" or just the D.O.G.
