I didn't see where anyone else had done this so here it is ....

Only 2 days til the Pistons and Paint weekend begins !!!!!!!!! Friday night hangng out and rolling some big balls, Saturday the show and the Pushrods playing that killer ass music while ya shoot the shit and look at cars.

I don't know bout ya'll but i can't freaking wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I'm counting down the seconds.

I need to find some other people going up on saturday morning to caravan with. This will be the first trip in the car. It's always more fun and a whole lot safer with more than one car.

I'm planning on leaving the north arlington area around 9am or so.

Looks like it is going to be a good weekend, weatherman says low 80s here, 'course I'm 4 hrs south of Denton, next front coming thru early next week. Pushrod is my new favorite band. Noon Friday we are rolling out, can't wait!!

 

As of right now Weather.com says:

20% chance of isolated thunderstorms and a high of 85 low of 62. Wind out of the south at 16 mph.

Msn weather says:

Mostly clear skies. High 78F and low 60F. Winds S at 15 to 20 mph.


Look promising if the rain holds off.

My club will meet me in lewisville around 9am... its only about a 11 mile trip for me. The rest of them are coming from Allen, Plano, Garland and Melissa. Look me up when ya get there.

Got the car running pretty good today and drove it from 635/Tollway up to McKinney. Should make for a nice drive into Denton on Saturday down 380! See ya'll there!!!

 

Checked the timing, ran the valves, did the oil and wiped it off....we are ready. Caravan from my house @ 9:00am....see ya there!!!

Pushrod is good, but I'm excited about DEKE DICKERSON!!! A surf guitar legend...you can hear rockabilly every day of your life, but how often do you get the chance to see Deke play?

I'd sure like to have some buddies on the way up there. This is the trial run for my car. If it cool let me know when and where from.

Unless you guys are going to be going balls to the wall. The old straight 6 will only do about 65 or so. I don't want to slow anyone down. I hate waiting on people.

 

Looks like I might actually be driving something up there. My friend said he can't make it cause of a wedding, but I can take his '55 F-100 if I want. Now I have to scramble to get it together.. Would be cool to go to a show in a car that fits in for once.

 

We're leaving tomorrow mid morning in the Shine-O-Matic. Staying at the Best Western this year. Hard to believe it's a whole weekend of bowling, car show, and Deke. That's what I'd call Action Packed! And that's not even including the drag racing that we're not doing!

Haha. It amazes me how many people still remember that. I need to give my old boss a call to remind him. He thought is was hilarious when I told him about it a few months later. He's from Denton and used to know Bubba back when.

Actually, I just told my new boss that I wasn't going to be here tomorrow. I explained to him that I surely told him about it months ago, because we go every year. I told him that I could call in sick, if he'd rather. He's pretty cool too, so it's no sweat.

 

they are giviing us 6-8 lanes for bowling starting at 8pm.
the tourney is simple. 4 people to team. each team bolws three games. highest team average wins. winner will be announced at PnP.
